YOUR INFORMATION
Privacy notice.
How we handle enquiries and requests for a free website performance test.
Who is responsible
Zero Labs is the digital studio operated by Dominic Bolton and is responsible for the information described here. Contact dominic@zero-labs.co.uk or 07795 384468 with questions or a privacy request. This notice covers studio enquiries and website reviews and free website performance tests. Updated 17 October 2026.
Information you provide
When you enquire or request a free test, we receive the details you submit: your name, email address, website address, trade or business type, answers about your role, and any message. A phone number is collected if the form requests it and you choose to provide it. Our website enquiry form asks for your name, email, enquiry type and message. A website address is required for a review and optional for other enquiries. A phone number, preferred call date and how you found us are optional. We use that answer to understand which channels generate enquiries; it does not install tracking cookies. Please do not send passwords, customer records or other sensitive information. A website review or performance test checks publicly accessible pages; it does not require access to your website account.
How we use it
We use your details to assess your request, test your website, send your results, answer questions and discuss work you ask about. A test is free and does not commit you to buying anything. We may explain relevant repair or replacement options alongside the findings. Submitting a form does not subscribe you to unrelated marketing. If you choose to start a WhatsApp or Messenger conversation, we use that conversation to respond to you.
Our lawful basis
Where you ask about entering a contract with us in your personal capacity, we use your information to take steps at your request before a contract. For business contacts and free test requests, our legitimate interest is responding to the request and providing the service you expect. We use the minimum details needed and you can object to processing based on legitimate interests. If a separate activity requires consent, we will request it separately and you may withdraw it.
Services that handle information
Meta handles Facebook and Instagram instant-form submissions and makes them available to Zero Labs. Microsoft Azure hosts our website and enquiry service. Website enquiry emails are sent through Resend and received through our email service. If you contact us through WhatsApp or Messenger, Meta also handles that conversation under its own notices. These services may process information outside the UK; their applicable privacy terms describe their international processing and safeguards. We do not sell your contact details. We may share information with a professional adviser or authority where necessary to meet a legal obligation or resolve a dispute. See Meta’s privacy policy, Microsoft’s privacy statement and Resend’s privacy policy.
How long we keep it
We keep requests, results and related correspondence while handling your request and any follow-up you ask for. Afterwards, we review whether they are still needed and delete information when there is no continuing business or legal reason to retain it. Client work, invoices and dispute records may need to be kept longer for contractual, accounting or legal purposes. Retention depends on the purpose and any applicable legal requirement. Meta and messaging providers have their own retention arrangements; deleting our copy does not automatically delete theirs.
Your choices and rights
You can ask for access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction or, where applicable, a portable copy. You can object to legitimate-interest processing and withdraw any consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. Some rights depend on the circumstances and legal obligations. Contact us using the details above; we may need to verify your identity. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. Required form fields are needed to respond or provide the test; you can choose not to submit a request. We do not use these requests to make decisions about you by solely automated means with legal or similarly significant effects.
Enquiry measurement
The enquiry service records whether a request has been accepted and the optional answer about how you found us. That answer helps us understand enquiries without installing tracking cookies. General visitor analytics is not currently configured on this website.
Website and external links
Hosting services may process technical request information, such as an IP address, to deliver and protect the website. Interactive preferences may be stored in your browser to support features you use. Links to other websites, Facebook, Instagram and messaging services are governed by their own privacy notices. This notice does not replace any separate terms or privacy information supplied for a promotion.
